A Life Update From Yours Truly!

Hey there friends!

Long time no talk/write. At least on here!

We are officially in our last week of 2021. I cannot believe it! This year has gone by so fast for me, and to be honest it was my best year yet. I worked a lot on personal growth this year as well as doing the things that make me happiest.

That is how I came to start my Bookstagram and then this blog shortly afterward. I am still very active on my Bookstagram but as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’ve been pretty quiet on here.

That’s because….

I got a job!

My start date was December 6. I love it so far! It is with a very small remote company that works with nonprofits and the Google Ad Grant. It is by far the most interesting job I’ve ever had and I’m learning so much! Our leadership treats its people so well that it is honestly really weird for me. I’ve never worked for someone who sends me a gift card for Christmas!

Honestly, I have so many good things to say about this job and nothing negative or constructive. I enjoy how detailed it is and I’m excited that what I do serves others. A huge bonus for me is that it is a work-from-home job. It is amazing how I’m more productive when I am comfortable!

That being said, obviously, some things are going to change with my blog! I am still planning on sticking around, but I probably won’t be posting as much as I used to. My social media presence will probably be limited to just here, Goodreads, and Instagram. Even before I got this job, I’d been trying to put my content on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest, and it just felt like a lot to keep up with.

In addition to that, I am going to change up the way I write reviews. I’ll still review books, but some books will get their own solo review post while other books will be lumped together in the same post and given a shorter review.

I am going to aim to post every other week at the minimum, but I appreciate you all bearing with me as I am going through this major life adjustment!

There’s a huge misconception out there that people who work from home don’t actually do anything or that they have a lot of time on their hands. I can confirm that this full-time job keeps me very busy from the moment I log on to the moment I log off!

As always, you can follow me on my Instagram where I’m almost always active in my stories.

Thank you for sticking with me and supporting my blog!

Have a great Christmas and/or weekend!
